Myofascial Release-Corrective Massage
An integrative approach to healthcare.

Correcting bodily dysfunctions with Myofascial Release is achieved through a focused intention of changing tissue texture and tension through soft, hands-on compression into the restriction or tissue barrier.  The intentional energy shifts between therapist and patient and has effects on the elastin, collagen and ground substance.  The entire facial system responds which facilitates change in all other connective tissue systems: nervous, muscular, lymphatic, and most importantly for chiropractic results, skeletal.  Also, soft tissue restrictions that alter bony alignment are addressed and osseous releases are performed slowly without skeletal manipulation.

Signs that your animal is in need of corrective bodywork:
  • Unusual licking, biting, scratching, shaking of head/ears, rearing, kicking, mouthing, shortness of breath, etc
  • Unusual hesitation to perform normal movements: trot, lope, curve, turn, jump, etc.
  • Lameness
  • Limping Improper Gait
  • Improper Balance
  • Incorrect Tracking
